Best Practices
Set Appropriate CTR Thresholds
Base thresholds on your historical data:
- Check your average CTR across campaigns
- Set the drop threshold slightly above normal fluctuation
- 20% is a good starting point for most publishers
Use Slack for Teams
If you have a team managing sponsorships:
- Create a dedicated #sponsorships channel
- Send alerts there for visibility
- Everyone stays informed without checking the dashboard
Review Alerts Regularly
- Check your Alert Center weekly
- Mark alerts as read to keep the badge meaningful
- Use alerts to identify underperforming campaigns
Troubleshooting
Not receiving email alerts?
- Check Settings → Alert Thresholds has email enabled
- Look in spam/promotions folders
- Verify your email address is correct in Settings
Slack not receiving alerts?
- Verify the webhook URL is correct in Settings → Integrations
- Test the connection with the "Test" button
- Check the channel still exists
- After 3 failed deliveries, Slack integration auto-disables
Alerts seem delayed?
Threshold checks run daily after stats aggregation (around 2 AM UTC). Alerts may take up to 24 hours to appear after the triggering event.
